BGOSS is more than ‘planting plants.’ We are also engaged in ‘planting awareness’. Our programs, presentations, community Monarch tagging days and our Pod Squad Ambassadors all strive to create experiences. BGOSS, through a grant it received from Community Foundation Grey Bruce, donated resource materials (books and dvd’s) to the Port Elgin and Southampton libraries. The resource materials range from story books for children on Monarchs and milkweeds, to books on pollinators, native plants and butterflies. We hope that you take the opportunity to ‘Plant Awareness” by signing out the resource materials at our local libraries. A printable PDF list of these resources is available here.
