Title: Monarchs in a Changing World Biology and Conservation of an Iconic Butterfly
Edited by: Karen S. Oberhauser, Kelly R. Nail, Sonia Altizer
Target audience: Adults
You will pick up this book if butterflies fascinate you! As a new volunteer with BGOSS, I am learning how our stewardship activities will help ensure that future generations will enjoy the beautiful monarch butterfly. This book explains how citizen scientists are essential as they share their observations on monarch migration, reproduction, survival and disease with researchers. It is quite a scientific book with many charts and graphs but a great resource for studying the “challenges and responses to threats to monarch conservation.”
